How do you maintain your culture during a period of rapid growth?

How do you maintain your culture during a period of rapid growth?

✅ Create an environment where feedback is encouraged, and delivered often

✅ Translate your values into a clear set of behaviours for new hires and existing staff to adopt

Many thanks to Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult for inviting me to your conference in Edinburgh. I had a great time presenting a keynote on delivering feedback with empathy and workshop on how to promote and sustain a culture of growth.

We often think that withholding feedback is the kinder thing to do. However, early in my career I got burned a couple of times when managers failed to provide honest, constructive developmental feedback until it was too late.

Providing regular feedback is an act of inclusion and a must if you want to engage and retain your people. Huge thanks to Lynsey Atkinson Pamela Nichol-Littlejohn Charles Thompson and Sophie Corrigan Assoc. CIPD – it was lovely working with you! And thanks to Stephen Robertson and Laura Fairley for your kind comments.

Feedback is a precious gift.
